Last year February, my family and I travelled to Centre Parcs in Sherwood Forest for a weekend getaway, as it's well known for its incredible rating for a family break.

Because I'm still in school and it was a school week, unfortunately we were only able to stay from friday afternoon until sunday afternoon. However, it was so incredible and I would highly suggest it to anyone who's looking for a getaway with your loved ones.
Some of the activities available were a segway experience, quad bike safari, paintball, sailing and aqua jetting.

Friday afternoon: We met with my parents' friends and their family. Whilst the adults were catching up, us teenagers went for a walk to explore and we found the subtropical swimming paradise, which is beyond amazing than it sounds. Of course, we had to grab our swimwear and immediately, go for a swim.

Saturday: In the morning we went on a segway experience. At first, I was scared because I hadn't been on one before. In the middle of our segway adventure trail, my sister fell off even though we were going on a straight line and all everyone saw was her chasing her segway when we turned around when she screamed. It was hilarious! (P.S. She didn't get hurt.)

In the afternoon until the night, all the families spent it in the subtropical swimming paradise. There were slides, and one of our favourites were the one that started outside which drops you 3x. That was the one where me, my sis and 3 other family friends went on together, which made it more fun.
Also, there were huts inside which we didn't know you had to book therefore me and a friend just went inside and sat down until a staff told us. It was embarrassing but funny. The staff were really nice about the situation so if you're worried about the hospitality, don't be. Inside the hut, there was a tv and sofas. It was aesthetically pleasing and so relaxing.

Sunday: Our last day. We spent the morning in doing another activity: aqua jetting. For those who don't know what it is, it involves whizzing through the water using a hand held water jet, which pulls you around the water. This activity is popular therefore if you're planning on doing it, make sure you book it as soon as you can.

After this, we had to sadly pack.

I am going back to Centre Parcs in Whinfell Forest this year in June. I'll be doing different activities and one of them will be windsurfing so stay in tune if you want to read about it.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!
