2017 Bucket list

© COPYRIGHT
By the end of 2017, I wanna be able to experience more activities. I want this year to be so much better than 2016. I want to end it knowing that there may have been some bumps in the road but I definitely had fun too along the way.

By the end of 2017, I will review my list and let you know which one I have done, which you'll probably know beforehand because it'd be on my social media or Youtube (click here).

These are the ones I've come up with now. I will add more and more over this year as I think of more ideas.

Here is my list:
  • Swim with sharks
I know that you might think I'm crazy but, it's such a rush experience and you know you only have one life so why not go crazy? Going on more adventures just adds to more fun stories.
  • Attend the London Fashion Show
I have always wanted to attend the London Fashion Show and New York Fashion Show but I know that my purse does not agree with me so I'll stick with one for now and since I live in the UK, I'll start with London.
  • To be more confident
I have always been cautious of my body and if I gain weight in specific areas that I don't want then I go on beast mode and exercise like crazy. It's not a bad thing but it's also not a good thing. I just want to be more confident and not care what anyone thinks.
  • Go on a helicopter ride
I'm scared of heights but I'm not scared when I'm on a plane because you have a lot of room and planes are huge. I want to know what it's like to be on a helicopter because you get to see an amazing view and everyone who goes on it just seems like they're having a blast so why not try it.
  • Scuba diving
To be honest, I find this one scary and you may be thinking 'oh so you don't find swimming with sharks scary but you find scuba diving scary? Are you crazy?' But think about it, there's more sea creatures and I know I'm over thinking it but I really want to overcome this fear because it's not even that big of a deal as I imagine it.
  • Achieve good A level grades
This is pretty self explanatory. I want a good future.
  • Flyboarding
I find this one scary too because what if you go heads down into the water but you have two rockets attached to your feet and, you go zooming down the sea? But at the same time, I don't think that'll happen otherwise it wouldn't be available for anyone to do especially someone like me so I'm going to be brave and do it.
  • Fly on a jet that turns upside down
OHMYGOSH, I can't find any place in the UK that lets you do it y'all. But, I'm not giving up! I'm going to keep looking because I really want to do it and I want to experience it because it's such a rush and I need to be more adventurous before I'm old and my body can't take it.

WINTER WONDERLAND

© COPYRIGHT

Hey guys,
The city I live in has a winter wonderland every year and it's so festive and amazing.
You can choose activities you want to do from, as you can see in the picture above, carousel to ice skating.
Me and my boyfriend went around and took pictures during our 2 hours break.
Here they are:

Centre Parcs

Last year February, my family and I travelled to Centre Parcs in Sherwood Forest for a weekend getaway, as it's well known for its incredible rating for a family break.

Because I'm still in school and it was a school week, unfortunately we were only able to stay from friday afternoon until sunday afternoon. However, it was so incredible and I would highly suggest it to anyone who's looking for a getaway with your loved ones.
Some of the activities available were a segway experience, quad bike safari, paintball, sailing and aqua jetting.

Friday afternoon: We met with my parents' friends and their family. Whilst the adults were catching up, us teenagers went for a walk to explore and we found the subtropical swimming paradise, which is beyond amazing than it sounds. Of course, we had to grab our swimwear and immediately, go for a swim.

Saturday: In the morning we went on a segway experience. At first, I was scared because I hadn't been on one before. In the middle of our segway adventure trail, my sister fell off even though we were going on a straight line and all everyone saw was her chasing her segway when we turned around when she screamed. It was hilarious! (P.S. She didn't get hurt.)

In the afternoon until the night, all the families spent it in the subtropical swimming paradise. There were slides, and one of our favourites were the one that started outside which drops you 3x. That was the one where me, my sis and 3 other family friends went on together, which made it more fun.
Also, there were huts inside which we didn't know you had to book therefore me and a friend just went inside and sat down until a staff told us. It was embarrassing but funny. The staff were really nice about the situation so if you're worried about the hospitality, don't be. Inside the hut, there was a tv and sofas. It was aesthetically pleasing and so relaxing.

Sunday: Our last day. We spent the morning in doing another activity: aqua jetting. For those who don't know what it is, it involves whizzing through the water using a hand held water jet, which pulls you around the water. This activity is popular therefore if you're planning on doing it, make sure you book it as soon as you can.

After this, we had to sadly pack.

I am going back to Centre Parcs in Whinfell Forest this year in June. I'll be doing different activities and one of them will be windsurfing so stay in tune if you want to read about it.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have a lovely day!

Cycling for 8 miles in Clumber Park

© Resting

Aloha,
Bonjour,
Holla,
Ciao,
Alo,
HELLO!

Welcome back to my blog and if you're new here thank you so much for taking a look here and there.

A backstory:
My family, family friends and I have cycled around Sherwood Forest Country Park. It was fun, hilarious and has more challenging routes than Clumber Park. We took the 'adventure trail' which, was a mistake when you have little kids with you. It involved going downhill in a zigzag with hurdles, such as tree roots. One of my family best friend hired a bike with kid carrier and she had to go through the hurdles with the kids inside the carrier. If you're planning to go to Sherwood Forest and you have/hiring a bike with kid carrier, I would highly suggest the family trail. I don't know why we took the adventure trail with kids.
One of the funny moments was when we were all cycling in a straight line and we turned right, (keep in mind that it wasn't a sharp right, it was a smooth curve), and all I heard was a scream. I immediately stopped, turned around and watched my sister fly off her bike and flopped her face onto the floor. She popped her head up and said 'I'm alright'. It was hilarious! It reminded me of one of the 'That's So Raven' moments:

Because we had so much fun, we decided to do it again but in Clumber Park for a new scenery.

My family and I traveled to clumber park, which is only 30 minutes away from my house so it wasn't a long travel. I do highly suggest visiting clumber park, especially if it's summer. Take advantage of the sunny days to help with your fitness.
Personally, I love to exercise and get fit whilst the sun is out but I do know that some people prefer when it's cold or when it's humid. Some of you may be thinking "when it's cold? That's weird." But hey, it depends on the individual and as long as they're taking care of their body, it's totally A-Okay!

My brother and my dad are the only ones who have a bike so me and my sister had to rent a bike. We rented it for the full day with the price that varied between £25-£30 for each bike. For the full day, we could cycle around until 5 p.m.
My mom decided she wanted to go for a walk instead since she didn't know how to ride a bike so, she took a 'me time'.

Before we cycled, we stretched which is really important for you. It's not something a lot of people do, but to avoid injuries such as groin pain, definitely stretch.
Here are some stretch movements you could do:
1) Calves:
Stand with your feet pointed straight ahead, step forward with your right leg and bend your knee. Keep your left foot firmly planted on the ground behind you. Don't forget to keep your upper-body erect and drop your hips forward until you feel the stretch in your calf. You can hold this for 15-30 secs, then rotate legs. (TIP: Don't bed over at the waist, instead use your hips to move).
2) Gluteus:
From a cross-legged sitting position on the floor, angle your left leg over the right and from here, plant your left foot next to your right knee. Your left leg forms a triangle. Secondly, grasp the front of your left knee and lean forward. (TIP: Keep your back straight).

There is a cycling trail with different routes.
We were cycling in a straight line and there was a sign pointing to the left that said 'cycling route' so we followed that not knowing that we could have gone further as there's other alternative cycling routes. If you do go there, keep that in mind.
The trail we followed was a muddy trail as it has been raining the night before. If you are going knowing it will rain that day or it was raining the night before, don't wear your favourite clothes or trainers. Wear something you don't mind getting muddy. My top didn't really matter for me because the bike I rented had a mudguard, however I was a little muddy on my legs which was minor.

As we cycled around, the scenery was beautiful. Being around nature is so calming so if you're reading this and you're stressed out with a situation in your life, you can always cycle around clumber park. It doesn't have to be clumber park, if you search for a place where you can cycle near your area, it will really help.
More than you think.

An hour later, we cycled 3 miles and realised that there is no service on our phones so we didn't know where my mom was. We don't know why we didn't plan on the place and time we should meet up again. In some areas, you can't take your bike so we all took turns to go around looking for her for an hour and panicking about her safety and where she could possibly be when it turns out, she was just chilling by the waterfall and taking selfies.
If you could see our faces back then, it was the same as this:

Clueless brother, sister, dad and I didn't even know about the waterfall so we were just looking and looking and looking until she saw my dad.
After that, we decided to cycle where my mom went so we could see more of what Clumber Park had to offer. We cycled 8 miles altogether that day.
IT WAS A SUCCESS!

Philippines

©  Manila Mall

My next trip was to Philippines, which I was ecstatic about since I hadn't seen my family for 5 years! How crazy is that?
Unfortunately, I didn't get to record a lot. I promise that the next time I go on a holiday I will make a travel video from it.

I don't remember it day by day but I wanted to share this with you since it was a very special trip for me.

Sit back.
Relax.
Happy reading(=

A little back story: Ever since I was a little girl, my role models have always been my grandparents; their presence makes me feel like I'm at home. They never fail to make me smile, laugh and brighten up my day whenever I was in a bad mood and words can't describe how lucky I feel to have them. They were the ones who raised me and my sister until I was 8 years old and my sister were 9 years old.

Back to my holiday. We were island hopping from Davao to Cebu to Dumaguete to Siquijor and back to Dumaguete to Cebu to Davao to Manila. There were a lot of long journeys but it was all worth it in the end.
I started off my day eating a healthy breakfast and we spent our 17 hours flight watching movies and of course, enjoying the beautiful scenery.

When we arrived to Phillipines, our first destination was Davao where my grandparents and aunties picked us up. Our greetings were emotional, (hint: it involved tears and running towards them). We got settled to our hotel because we were shattered from the flight and the next day we had a 4 hours journey ahead of us to my home city called Midsayap. Before we left, we had to enjoy the weather, the pool and grabbed us a Krispy Kreme drink in SM Mall and if you know me, you know I love to shop.

After our 4 hours journey, we finally arrived to my grandparents house where I reunite with the rest of my family. One thing that I love about staying in my grandparents house is the fact that I can get all the coconut drink with coconut pulp inside a coconut anytime I want. Also, you can't see it but where my camera was set up in the 7th picture below is a way to climb the rooftop with an amazing view of the nature.
The neighbourhood my grandparents are in is a family neighbourhood so right next door to us is my auntie, across us is my cousin, two doors down is my other auntie and next door to our right is my cousin's house, etc.

During our days there, we went to a water resort near my grandparents house. It was absolutely stunning! The huts, the nature, the fountains, the pool..like they say 'Let the pictures speak for itself'.

Whilst we were in Davao, we visited one of my parent's lot. In residential areas, there were this house that no-one lives in. It's an entertainment house where the fun begins.

We had planned to visit my mother's side of the family however, the ship trip was cancelled. On our way back home, we found a place where you could experience zip lining (clip shown above). This was the place that happened to be the longest zip line in this island so we said, 'Hey! Why not?' Once we went inside, we found out that not only is this the place for zip lining but it was also, a resort, which made it even better!

My family and I decided to go on a plane to Cebu then a ship to Dumaguete, another ship to Siquijor and we made it to see the rest of my family (my mother's side). When we were reunited, we all hit up the beach, had our footspa and relaxed.

When we were in Manila, my sister and I were mainly shopping with our auntie. The interior of the mall was beyond amazing, which you all first saw before you read my travel story.
